Fitzpatrick skin types
Key concerns we can help with
Virtue RF may be suitable for a range of concerns, and can be used on all skin tones, from very fair to deep.
Fine lines & wrinkles
RF energy may help encourage collagen in the deeper layers of the skin.
Loose skin
May help firm and tighten mild to moderately loose skin.
Acne scarring
Fine-needle treatment may help improve the look of acne scars and marks left after breakouts.
Enlarged pores
RF energy may help reduce the appearance of enlarged pores.
Uneven skin texture
Collagen renewal may help improve overall smoothness and skin quality.
Neck & chest
Suitable for areas beyond the face, including the neck and chest.
Tailored to the area being treated
Virtue RF uses different handpieces, so your practitioner can treat each area at the right depth and setting for you.

Face, neck & chest
Fine needles that work the upper layers of the skin to help firm and refine texture.

Delicate areas
A single-needle handpiece for precise work around the eyes, the jawline, and under the chin.

Face, neck & chest
A deeper handpiece with built-in cooling that reaches the lower layers for added firmness and support.
This is general information only. Virtue RF may not be suitable for everyone. Individual suitability is assessed case by case during your consultation, and this treatment may not be appropriate for all patients.
Virtue RF vs Morpheus8 — and why Virtue RF wins
Side by side on the details that shape your treatment, the technology behind Virtue RF was built to address the biggest complaints patients report about Morpheus8 — starting with the experience itself.
Robotic Precision Delivery (RPD). A precision robotic motor controls needle insertion, designed for smooth, consistent and controlled depth on every pass.
Spring-loaded stamping mechanism — needles are mechanically stamped into the skin. Needle speed and depth can vary between insertions.
Dual-frequency (1MHz & 2MHz) Sub-Pulse technology. Sub-Pulse lets the practitioner fine-tune exactly how RF energy is distributed, supporting more intensive clinical goals with a more comfortable experience.
Single-frequency RF delivery. Energy is distributed as a fixed pulse, without sub-pulse fine-tuning capability.
Designed for patient comfort. The robotic motor and Sub-Pulse technology manage energy distribution more precisely, which practitioners report supports a more comfortable treatment experience.
Widely reported by patients as one of the more uncomfortable aesthetic procedures, particularly at the higher energy settings used for clinical results.
Mild redness for 24–48 hours is typical. Many patients return to normal daily activities the same day.
Recovery periods of 5–10 days are commonly reported, including redness, swelling and skin-texture changes lasting longer in some cases.
Suitable for all skin types — Fitzpatrick I–VI. Precise energy delivery is designed to reduce the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in darker skin tones.
Higher reported risk of hyperpigmentation in darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV–VI) due to less precise energy distribution.
Highly customisable. Practitioners can adjust needle depth, RF frequency (1MHz or 2MHz), energy level, pulse duration and treatment speed for each patient and area.
Limited customisation relative to Virtue RF — fewer parameter adjustments available during treatment.
Face, neck, décolletage, periorbital (around eyes), jawline, submental (under chin) and body.
Face and body. Periorbital and delicate areas typically require additional caution due to energy-delivery characteristics.
Across every category in this comparison — needle delivery, energy control, comfort, downtime, skin-type suitability, customisation and treatment areas — Virtue RF is designed to outperform Morpheus8.
The technology that makes the difference
Robotic Precision Delivery (RPD)
Unlike spring-loaded RF microneedling devices, Virtue RF uses a precision robotic motor to control needle insertion — so each needle enters the skin at a consistent, controlled speed and depth. Practitioners and patients report this delivers a meaningfully different comfort experience compared with older stamping-style devices.

Sub-Pulse Technology
Virtue RF's proprietary Sub-Pulse technology lets the practitioner precisely control how RF energy is distributed within each pulse. This means higher-energy treatments — which can support better clinical outcomes — may be delivered while managing the thermal sensation the patient experiences.

Dual-Frequency Clearance (1MHz + 2MHz)
Virtue RF received clearance for both 1MHz and 2MHz frequency settings. The 2MHz setting offers an additional tool for fine-tuning energy distribution depending on patient skin type, treatment area and clinical goal.

Fully Insulated Needle Options
Virtue RF offers fully insulated needle tips, which concentrate RF energy at the precise distal tip of the needle — not along the entire shaft. This is designed to protect the epidermis from unnecessary thermal exposure while targeting energy in the dermis, where collagen remodelling occurs. This is particularly relevant for darker skin tones and sensitive areas.

Designed for a more comfortable RF microneedling experience
Many patients who have experienced Morpheus8 describe the procedure as one of the more uncomfortable cosmetic treatments they've undergone — leading some to avoid repeat sessions even when results were positive.
Virtue RF was developed to address exactly this. Its proprietary Intelligent Robotics technology precisely controls needle insertion depth and energy delivery in real time, which is designed to significantly improve the patient comfort experience without compromising clinical outcomes.
Results vary between individuals. A consultation is required to determine if Virtue RF is right for you.

Precision energy delivery
Controlled radiofrequency energy delivered at precise depths into the dermis, designed to stimulate collagen and elastin production.
Patient comfort protocol
Robotics technology designed to optimise the treatment experience. Most patients describe the sensation as more manageable than Morpheus8.
Minimal downtime
Most patients experience mild redness for 24–48 hours. Many return to normal daily activities the same day.
